The button that turns the laser power on has been pressed. For example, on an Agilent laser, the green light must be showing.
All cables are connected.
The GPIB cable is connected from the computer to the laser.
Verify that the right address is set up for the GPIB. It should be GPIB0.
The BNC cable is connected to trigger out. This is the start trigger, and without it you cannot acquire a signal.
The fiber from the laser to aux input on OVA is connected.
Use an optical power meter and verify that that power to OVA is at least 1mW, if not, call us.
