The OVA ELp
LEARN MORE
Learn more about the OVA ELp and the technology that can make your
job a lot easier.
|
Luna Technologies' Optical Vector Analyzer (OVA) ELp is used to characterize the polarization and loss properties of fiber optic components for high-speed optical networks. Using an external laser, the OVA ELp is a fast, economical tool that provides industry leading accuracy and resolution in a single sweep of a tunable laser.
MEASUREMENTS:
Insertion Loss (IL)
Polarization Dependent Loss (PDL) / Differential Group Delay (DGD)
Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD)
2nd Order Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD)
Impulse response
Jones matrix elements
ADVANTAGES:
The OVA ELp offers significant advantages for optical component testing
in the following categories.
- Investment Protection
With the OVA ELp, you can cost
effectively invest in a Luna solution today for IL/PDL/PMD, and
as your testing needs expand in the future, upgrade the unit to
add chromatic dispersion, group delay, and other phase
measurements at a later date.
- Industry Standard Method
The Jones Matrix Eigenanalysis method
used by the OVA ELp "is" the industry standard for measuring
PMD and DGD. Why settle for something less!
- Ease of Use
The OVA ELp is fully automated, requiring
no special skills to operate. It can
be easily integrated into a manufacturing
production line.
- Industry Leading Accuracy in a Single Sweep
For fast
measurements, the OVA ELp has the highest accuracy in the
industry. Want better performance? Simply enable the averaging
capability of the unit.
- Best-in-Class Dynamic Range capabilities.
Recognized across
the industry as the leading tool for making component and
system level polarization dependent measurements with dynamic
range in excess of 50 dB!
