Brian Soller, President, Products Division
Luna Innovations
Dr. Soller, a Luna employee since 2001, is the President of Luna Innovations’ Products Division. In this capacity he oversees product engineering, development, marketing and manufacturing operations. Previously, Dr. Soller served as Vice President and General Manager of the Luna Technologies division where his strategy and execution helped establish Luna Technologies as an internationally recognized leader in fiber optic test solutions. He received his doctorate in Optical Science as a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate fellow in optical science at the University of Rochester in New York and earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse where he studied as a Goldwater Scholar. Dr. Soller has authored numerous publications and has several patents pending.
Mark Froggatt, CTO
Luna Innovations
Dr. Froggatt is the primary inventor of the technology used in the OVA and a leading expert in the field of interferometric measurement. Before joining Luna Technologies, Dr. Froggatt worked at NASA Langley developing ultrasonic and optical instrumentation. His distinguished academic background includes a bachelor's and master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a doctoral degree from the Institute of Optics, University of Rochester, under the supervision of Dr. Turan Erdogan.
Dr. Froggatt has been awarded several patents and is the author of numerous technical papers and presentations. In 1997 he was awarded the Discover Magazine Award for Technological Innovation for work relating to Bragg Grating sensors.
Ed Valigursky, Senior Vice President of Global Product Sales
Luna Innovations
Ed Valigursky has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Product Sales. In this role, Ed is responsible for sales operations worldwide, including leading, planning and directing all aspects of Global Product Sales in multiple areas of technology. His global direct and indirect sales channels sell via effectively launching new solutions, forming strategic alliances, and identifying and capturing growth markets. With sales operations spanning four continents, Mr. Valigursky's leadership enables the company to sustain high growth. He received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University.
